Hi!
I am Dr. Oliver Sukrow, a historian of 19th and 20th-century art and architecture. I am working as a teacher, researcher, publisher, and lecturer. Earning an M.A. in Art History at the University of Greifswald in 2010 and a Ph.D. in Art History at the University of Heidelberg in 2016, I joined the Research Unit of Art History at the Technical University Vienna in the same year. Between October 2020 and October 2023, I worked there as a PostDoc (National Research Partner) in the FWF-funded project „Transnational School Construction: Austria, Slovenia, GDR“. In 2023, I joined the Faculty of Architecture at the Technical University Darmstadt as a PostDoc researcher in the Department of Architectural Theory and Science. I am also a member of the Austrian National Committee of ICOMOS and an expert member of the ICOMOS International Scientific Committees „20th Century Heritage“ (ISC20C) and „Water and Heritage“. Recently, I became ICOMOS Monitor for the UNESCO World Heritage Site „Great Spas of Europe: Baden near Vienna.“
I am collaborating with universities, museums, research institutions, and the public.
